I was advised that AGL would install a smart meter in January 2016. I am still waiting! Phoned their helpline and was told the contractor didn't have the universal key (that AGL uses to read the meter) to open the meter box to do the installation and there were no teams in my area. Onto a priority list I went. About a year later a repeat phone inquiry elicited the same response. I cannot use my own solar at the moment and am subsidizing AGL who are selling my solar back to me at 4 x what they're paying me for it.
Am thinking of changing my electricity provider.
