Multiple reads and still an estimate on bill?

Hi, I’ve had two men come and ‘read’ my gas meter in the past week. However my bill only says estimate. Why is this? I’m a bit creeped out about these people are entering my property now...

This does sound unusual!

Is there any chance that these meter readers could have been reading your water meter? These two do get confused from time to time.
