Help for our farmers

Switched-on

It is of interest to read in the media today that Origin Energy have donated $100,000 in support of various drought assistance schemes, and then I read that AGL have contributed a measly $20,000!! Surely you can do better considering your energy prices and I presume profits, are amongst the highest?

Hey Mc2,

Welcome to the AGL Community!

We really appreciate your interest in the different initiatives to help support farmers. We currently contribute to our communities through direct investment and through our involvement in and support of local community initiatives, projects and events.

We aim to deliver community-wide benefits and build and maintain strong relationships with the communities in which we operate.

The $20,000 that we donated to help with the Camden Gas Project was just one project and you can see more on that here: https://youtu.be/ssP6ythMbww. But we recognise there’s more to do.

Lastly, our community activities are independently audited in line with our sustainability reporting.

Any other questions, please let us know and we will gladly assist.

Kind regards,

Sam
