You should be able to see your usage data appear in your AGL Energy app 10-15 days after your meter upgrade.
If, after 15 days since your digital meter was installed and you still aren't able to see daily usage and costs data, we'll need to look into this further for you. Within the app, please complete the 'Feedback' form under the 'More' tab, and a member of our app support team be in touch with you soon.
Your usage data will be updated online every 2-3 days. In some cases, you may see estimated data if this information has not recently refreshed.
If you have a remotely read smart electricity meter you may be able to view a projection of your next bill.
Your projected bill is calculated by using your historical data to estimate your average daily energy usage, until the end of your current billing period.
It is a projection only, and does not factor in any unbilled charges such as credits, pay on time discounts or other unbilled charges. Your actual bill may also be different from your projected bill if your usage patterns change during the billing period.
Download or view the projected bill details in My Account or the AGL Energy App.
If you get a message that says “your password is no longer secure” and we’re asking you to reset it, here’s why:
While your login details remain safe with us, we’ve been advised that your email may have been leaked by another website or service. We take your security very seriously, so you’ll need to reset your password before you log in again. We’re not sure which website or application is responsible for this leak, but we recommend checking out Stay Smart Online for some useful tips about online security.
A digital meter (otherwise known as a smart meter) has the ability to provide remote meter readings, which can remove the need for estimated bills and onsite meter reads.
With the AGL Energy App, you can access historical energy usage data by hour, day, week and month. Without a smart meter in your home or small business, the AGL Energy App will be missing some functionality, including current electricity usage, bill projections and usage alerts.
The AGL Energy App lets you stay in control, informed and connected so it’s easier to manage your budget and avoid surprises on your bill.
If you’re an AGL customer, the AGL Energy App lets you:
Track your electricity usage details and gas bills.
View your account balance.
View your current & historical bills in PDF format
Pay your bills on the go via PayPal or credit card.
If you have a digital meter you can also:
View your electricity usage by day, week, month or year along with a projection of your final bill*.
Set usage alerts to avoid surprises on your bill.
If you’re a solar command customer you now have access to a solar monitoring tool, real time monitoring of your solar production and household consumption.
Simply download the App from the App Store or on Google Play and login using your AGL online account details.

The AGL Energy App does not currently display data relating to solar generation or energy fed back to the grid.
This may reduce the accuracy of electricity usage data and projected bill amounts in the AGL Energy App.
