Online account usage doesn't show solar

The new online account doesn't show solar export in the daily usage graphs.

The old my AGL IQ used to show solar export.

Are there any plans to include solar in the new usage graphs?

Hi...I am really disappointed too that the "improved " ( ????) AGL IQ now no longer allows you to check your solar generation. Also, there is now no way you can check your usage by hour/day/and overlaying the outside temperature.. There is no download facility, and any usage is only available for the past 14 days....... I have a sneaking suspicion that AGL wants you to join their new solar monitoring system at a cost of $ 15 per month in order to get access to your solar engergy/usage/generation etc. This would REALLY be a big backwards step!!!!

I agree that this new "improved" AGL IQ is a backwards step. Personally I find it virtually useless now!

I can still get usage graphs that include solar from my distributor United Energy at https://energyeasy.ue.com.au/ but the ability to download smart meter data seems to have disappeared from there too!

Thanks for getting in touch with us! 

 

We are working on a permanent fix for this issued, however in the meantime you can still monitor and view your solar generation via the below work around: 

 

  1. Log into the new My Account page
  2. Click on 'Manage Account'
  3. Click on 'Edit' for any of the fields (page will be re-directed to AEO)
  4. Click on 'My Usage'
  5. Customers will then be able to view their solar

This doesn't seem to work for me. When I follow the steps there is no apparent redirection, it just opens a new tab asking me to log in. I do so and get the same (My Account) page I had before the new tab opened. Using the 2 edit links and one of the manage links I ended up with the same page opened 4 more times, asked to log in on each.

It seems ludicrous that in 2017, with all of the technology around us, and at a time when we all all striving to lower our energy consumption because prices rise at twice that of inflation or more, that we cannot get any meaningful information from our energy providors.

Someone can ring my doorbell in Brisbane and I can answer it on my phone in Bangkok, but want a few details on current consumption or how my solar is doing . . . wait until the bill arrives and take our word for it.

It's impossible to work out patterns from a quarterly read!

When are "In Home Displays" coming to Qld? They seem to have them in other states.

Or am I going to have to pay a monthly fee just to get that type of info?

Well . . . that's out as well. Not available in my area as not cost effective to send an installer, we are about 50 km from CBD.

Hi,

 

We had a smartmeter installed last week. I followed your instructions but my solar feed-in stats are nowhere to be seen. Does this feature need to be activated?

Under "My usage charges" it says "Unfortunately, there was an error loading your usage charges data. Please try again later. (ZIEIQ001 - 014)"

Under "Bill analysis" it says "Unfortunately, we don't have enough information to calculate your Bill Analysis. Please try again later".

Hi @sfranken

 

If a meter exchange has just taken place, your metering data should update within 10 business days of this exchange.

 

This is to ensure that we have received final data from your previous meter and are receiving current and up to date consumption data from your new meter.
