We want ot know if the times specified in TOU brackets are adjusted for daylight saver times even if the smart meter register is on NEM (AEST) time
If they are adjusted , by whom? The DNSP or AGL?
Thanks for your post!
We're happy to confirm that as you have a smart meter, that your times are automatically adjusted for daylight savings time. This adjustment is made by the relevant electricity distributor in your area, which you can confirm here.
thanks for the answer.
This throws up two more questions:
When I was forced to pay for an interwvall meter in 2010 I had no option but to go on TOU.Below is a quote from a letter AGL sent me (21 may 2010) :.....".you will also enjoy off peak rates all weekends from 11pm friday to 7am Monday AEST (day light savings do not apply...."
1) when has that changed?
2)If it did change, why was I not informed?
When harging electric cars a full hour at the wrong tariff amkes a big difference
PS.: this is the second draft as the first got wiped out when i presed post
Thanks for getting back to me, nuggetgalore!
For enquiries relating to your account specifically, you'll need to get in touch with our web chat team at aglener.gy/ChatFa4.
It is really not about me. The questions are generic: when and under what conditions have the summertime changes been made?
How have people been informed?
Do people who did not change plans stay with NEM (AEST) hours.
When tariffs were changed, and how consumers were subsequently informed, does vary on a case-by-case basis. As a result, the answer to your question is account-dependant. As a result, we encourage you to get in touch with us using one of the above platforms so that we can help further.
