Electricity Bill and online payment

My account is for electricity only  -- no gas available on site.

 

Following are recent charges -  

Due                             $ Amount.

18 April 18                  689.44

18 Jan 18                     451/62

17 Oct 17                    474.70

19July 17                      435.65

21 April 17                   471.48

 

We are 2 people in a unit. and were overseas from 21 March to 16 April 2018  The 18 April 2018 account is greatly increased compared to all others     WHY ???

 

Has anyone had a BIG April increase

 

I And something else -- I went online to pay the April 18 account on 17 April  and when

 

I keyed on COMPLETE entry all I got was AGL logo spinning and no receipt number issued or comment

"payment received"  ---  after 5 minutes.  I tried again and again.

 

 Next day on checking my credit card I see payment went through 5 times

 

I'm talking to AGL now to get a refund -- but apparently it takes 5 days and MUST go to a Bank Account

and not to credit card used.

 

Very frustrainng.     Has anyone had this happen ???   BEWARE guys
