Received via email huge increase in costs for Account number above and wanted to find out the reasons.

We can't review and provide advice on specific bills through the AGL Community I'm sorry to say. If you feel your bill may be incorrect, there are a few details worth checking that can be helpful:

  • Bill duration - When comparing two bills, it's important to acknowledge which period these bills cover. If one bill covers a longer period than the other, than it's only natural to assume that it should cost more.
  • Meter reading quality - Your meter reading quality plays a crucial part in your bills. If your bill is based on an 'Estimated' reading (found on the second page), then it may be the case that it is overestimated.
