Astronomical bill

We have just moved to a new address and are totally electric powered, no gas. Our bills are astronomical. Weve tried not using different things such as reverse cycle heating, only using our conara, not using tumble dryer and its not dropping the bill by much at all. According to our last bill (our first bill) which was from 29th April to 19th May so not even a month, an average 4 person house uses 348 kwh and we're using 1102 kwh so a HUGE difference. Desperate for some help please on what could be causing this

It can be hard to understand how your energy usage can vary from one house to the next. There are a lot of factors that need to be taken into consideration. 

 

You may now be in a different distribution patch, your discount plan may have changed, the age and condition of the house, the age and amount of the appliances, if there are more or less people in the household etc. Also if you have just moved from a household where gas and electricity were available you are going to notice a difference.
